North Shore Engagement Session: Abram & Maye
First of all, I am the world's worst blogger. Ever. Second of all, and more importantly, I had such a fun Engagement Shoot with these 2 lovebirds! We were all over the North shore one morning and it was an absolutely perfect day! Abram and Maye are just adorable together and I can't wait for them to get married! I met Abram way back when I met my husband and he has always been a great friend to us. I've always known that he would meet the perfect girl for him and Maye is just that: Perfect!

The night before our session, I called and asked if they would be interested in finishing up in the water. They were up for the fun, so after we finished our dry land shoot, we headed over to Waimea Bay. There was a pretty good swell that day (surfers out in the water and the Lifeguards on the loud speaker telling people to stay away from the shore break) so we went to the very corner to try and get some shots... This is what we got:

Abram and Maye:
You two were amazing and such troopers!
Trying to fight the current while fully clothed... not an easy task!
Thank you for being my underwater guinea pigs!
I'd say for our first attempt at an underwater shoot we have success!!!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!!

North Shore Engagement Session: Nicole & Tony
Can you you say WOW?! This amazing couple was an absolute JOY to shoot! Nicole is drop dead gorgeous and so comfortable in front of the camera, and Tony, not bad looking either... a guy who enjoys photography and was totally into the session (either that or he liked that I kept telling them to get closer, and at one point I even said, "Go out into the middle of the road and just start making out"). I guess any couple as in love as these two would think a photo shoot isn't really that bad after that instruction.
Just a quick little fact: Nicole LOVES Peanut Butter. One day, she planned a little picnic for her and Tony. Of course peanut butter was involved, I mean really... what's better than a peanut butter sandwich on the beach? Tony figured this was perfect. Nicole planned the whole picnic so she wouldn't suspect a thing! He stuck the ring he had gotten for her inside the peanut butter jar so when she opened it on the beach there was a little something extra! So sweet!
There were so many great shots from this session, that I was having a hard time narrowing it down for this post. I'm including a ton of photos so it looks like I didn't cut anything but this is less than 1/2 of my favorites! With a couple as beautiful as Tony and Nicole and so natural in front of the lens you end up with a session full of Favorites!

Yeah! Work It! :)

We ended our shoot in Haleiwa at the Grass Skirt Grill where owner Johnny Moore drives and parks his beautiful VW in front. We had a nice little chat with him and he was so nice and willing to let Tony and Nicole hop inside for a few photos.

I'll leave you with this little gem:

Tony, Nicole:
Thank you for such a fun and fantastic shoot!
You two are absolutely amazing and I'm so excited that you guys are getting married!
I love walking into a session as strangers and walking away as friends. I had a great time with you during the shoot and at dinner! I hope you had just as much fun as I did. Thank You so much!

Wedding Fashion Shoot: Honolulu, Hawaii
Last week I had the amazing opportunity to attend Mike Colon's 7 workshop here on Oahu. Mike spent the day sharing with us all of the knowledge that he could pack into one day. He is such an amazing photographer and an Inspiration to so many. I am so grateful that I had the chance to go soak up all he had to share. As part of the workshop he set up a live shoot where a Newlywed couple came in to model for us. Tyler & Becky were absolutely perfect! And they just happened to be friends from my hometown!
A BIG Mahalo goes out to everyone who contributed to making this such an amazing experience: Mike Adrian, Joanna Tano, and Richie & Natalie Norton for your added knowledge as well as making sure things ran perfectly. Also Gemina Chong & Sarah Pacheco for doing such a beautiful job on hair and make-up.
Meet Becky and Tyler:

What a gorgeous couple!
I could feel the Love, and Becky... You are Stunning!
Thank You guys.
And Mike thank you for making this whole thing possible and sharing your wealth of knowledge. You have a gift and I appreciate you being so open to share and help others grow! What a great example you are.
